The Development Of Technology In Travel Industry Tourism Essay As indicated by obscure, 2012 in the neighborliness business, it is totally fundamental that organizations keep steady over purchaser request trying to keep up their upper hand. In the current mechanically determined business industry, it has gotten progressively significant for organizations to use all of data and information gathered from present and potential clients while analyzing methods of staying serious in the neighborliness business. Relating to (William et' al, 1999) conveying quality help in the friendliness business can be a significant test confronting cordiality administrators in the initial long stretches of the following thousand years. It will be a basic condition for achievement in the rising, distinctly serious, worldwide friendliness markets. While the future significance of conveying quality friendliness administration is anything but difficult to observe and to concede to, doing so presents some troublesome and interesting administration issues. Since the conveyance of cordiality administration consistently includes individuals, these issues community on the administration of individuals, and specifically on the connections among visitors and staff, cooperations that are called administration experiences. According to our visitors, our friendliness organizations will succeed or fizzle contingent upon the combined effect of the administration experiences in which they have partaken. Accommodation industry would incorporate lodgings, eatery and other related the travel industry associations. This implies the travelers need to experience with staffs, consequently the businesses must have great client delegate that can speak with their visitor and assist them with settling their issues. There are three components in the friendliness which inns. Incorporates café that give drinks and food diversion by the theater and settlement give by the mechanical help. In the administration conveyance in the accommodation business and administration conveyance in different organizations there are little are no distinctions since the two of them have great client support which is significant in the two ventures, the two of them offer quality assistance to build their income and to guarantee that they fulfill their client needs and need in the business. The critical effect on the improvement of innovation in movement and the travel industry Innovation in movement and the travel industry in this day and age control and convey quickness and force your need to accomplish your business desire. It is additionally conveys viable answer for meet their clients exact business needs expanding benefit and work rate improving client connection and diminishing expense. Anyway you can rely upon innovation with the movement and the travel industry to improve the correspondence procedure. When speaking with innovation you set aside time and cash shrewdly and withdraw from PC habitually to correspondence face to face and help individuals to stay in contact with colleagues and dealers needing data. along these lines innovation in the business improve the correspondence procedure, inadequately configuration are in fittingly use innovation can inward correspondence with laborers more than it aides and it tends to be utilized in the business to discover investigate examination to trade and present data responsively without separation, it ad ditionally increment universally and has accelerate the procedure of globalization. As per Rosendo (cuyasen, 2012), New Technology and media has changed the method of the travel industry. Voyagers go to the web to explore on potential goals and do appointments on the web. They even incorporate sharing their encounters of the outings they go to. The official executive of Ctrip.com said that purchasers find out about the business and travel organizations can't bring in cash from the data hole any longer. The previous ten years has enabled purchasers significantly. An incredible lion's share of explorers do their quest online for appointments, travel aides and visas. As per John Liu, the official VP and head of Greater China at Google, 85% of explorers do their examination on the net and the normal voyager does 55 online quests before a booking. Contrasting and searching for data is simple now and a wide range of data are accessible on the web. Relating to Keith Evans, (Evans, 1999-2012) with the blast of innovative headways in the mid and late twentieth century, vacationers found expanding access to a developing cluster of goals. From advancing goals and pulling in explorer consideration regarding empowering moment reservations and installment assortment, correspondence innovation keeps on showing a critical effect on the travel industry and travel all in all. Correspondence innovation assumes a significant job in movement and the travel industry, as quite a bit of present day the travel industry spins around the capacity of vacationer goals to convey their advantages to potential guests and the capacity of those guests to contact focal points at the goal. Focal points and impediments of innovation in the movement and the travel industry As indicated by leelingz, (leelingz, 2011) these days, innovation has progressed in enormous a long ways. We can't envision the world without innovative advances, for example, PC, TVs, and machines, etc. Anyway there are a few points of interest and drawbacks of innovation. Above all else, innovations assume a significant job in the public arena since it makes life simpler to live on and less tedious. Innovation can make easy routes in working. Individuals don't need to do all the hard work any longer. Individuals use innovation to design their outing which makes it increasingly advantageous and simple. They can look into goal to their own pace, search for the best charges and inn arrangements, and reserve a spot directly from your PC. Despite what might be expected, innovation additionally carries mischief to our general public. The blasting of industrialization and advancement makes contaminations our reality. For instance, the smoke from the vehicles and machines influences the na ture of air and decimate the ozone layer. What's more, advancements likewise make money related issues in families in light of the fact that a large portion of the advances are costly similar to PCs. Individuals that can't bear to purchase this sort of innovation will live in an upsetting life. On my perspectives the significant of innovation in the movement and the travel industry is to get data through research, help to build the association income, to get data across to their clients and other related associations, conveys extraordinary speed, contact crowd that is genuinely isolated from the sender and increment get to capacity and transparency in an association and awful part about innovation is that it can make strain and strife, simple to be over utilized, frequently need protection and can truly deplete business efficiency. In any case, for my situation without innovation the business couldn't keep up their foundation to continue drawing in the guest and maintain the spot in control. Network base the travel industry As per (oikos, 2009) Community based the travel industry is the travel industry where neighborhood occupants (frequently country, poor and monetarily underestimated) welcome vacationers to visit their networks with the arrangement of overnight settlement. Network based the travel industry empowers sightseers to find nearby living spaces and untamed life, and celebrates and Regards customary societies, ceremonies and insight. The people group will know about the business and social worth set on their regular and social legacy through the travel industry, and this will cultivate network based protection of these assets. Network based the travel industry bears explorers with uncommon chances to encounter neighborhood networks direct. Its particular in that it gives an option in contrast to advancement that is not maintainable, giving country and poor networks an extra wellspring of salary. In supporting network based the travel industry, you can inundate yourself in the everyday existences of neighborhood and indigenous individuals while helping them to save their condition and social legacy. The occupants gain pay as land directors, business visionaries, administration and produce suppliers, and workers. At any rate some portion of the visitor pay is saved for ventures which give advantages to the network overall. Travelers will invest energy close to territories that are wealthy in culture and biodiversity, and, simultaneously, will become acquainted with local people at the grassroots level. Numerous fruitful encounters being developed nations demonstrate that travel industry can turn into a main division for the individuals who preserve regular assets and live on it. Neighborhood individuals of these nations mutually coordinate in Community Based Tourism and this gives financial advantages for them as well as turns into a case of network included dynamic. A people group by definition suggests people with an aggregate duty, and the capacity to settle on choices by delegate bodies. Locals㠢㠢‚⠬㠢„â ¢ investment, customary culture, diverse issues and raise of neighborhood salary are essential standards of the travel industry and it is principal to get more top to bottom for advancement nations where the travel industry is overwhelmingly work by incredible outside organizations. Generally families㠢㠢‚⠬㠢„â ¢ interviews make evident that local people are intrigued to partake in the travel industry exercises however they don㠢㠢‚⠬㠢„â ¢t know how. Frequently the production of Community Based Tourism is the best answer for neighborhood individuals or if nothing else an incredible assistance for them for instance in these nations where the primary pay is from domesticated animals and the desertification, the spread of inefficient land denied of vegetation, is one of the fundamental concerns. Network Based Tourism is the together arranged and overseen the travel industry exercises of neighborhood gathering: this new business never can be the primary or just salary wellspring of the networks and cooperatives yet can be extra pay plausibility. On Being Anointed and the Great Awakening Essay - 3429 Words

Why do we need another Great awakening? When I think of an Awakening, even after our class, my mind immediately goes to images of eighteenth century revivalists like Jonathan Edwards, George Whitfield, Jereena Lee and a large constellation of other preaching giants of yesteryear. These men and women created a legacy of spiritual fervor which has earned them a place in the annals of American religious history. Their effectiveness as preachers of the word and proclaimers of truth permeated a nation’s consciousness and snatched the nation from spiritual decline. Several questions arise as I think of the Awakenings of years past. My first question is whether our nation is as spiritually receptive of an Awakening as it was two hundred years†¦show more content†¦Perhaps that is what we need a contemporary awakening to do. In the face of drone strikes, unending poverty, mass-incarceration, and myriad social issues with spiritual ramifications, an Awakening is what is needed to turn this nation, its culture and its people around. I think there needs to be a turning to a moral center; be it God (thinking out of my Christian context), or to a common place of civility and mutual understanding. The church has a unique role to play in bringing renewal and restoration to the brokenness of the world. I think that the mission the broken, crucified, despised Jesus was and is healing brokenness. Jesus Christ was â€Å"anointed† to do the work of restoring a sick and sad nation. I, therefore, hold as my point of departure that in Jesus Chri st we are anointed to preach in a way that will awaken the nation to wholeness and to the reality of God’s reign on Earth. In light of my theme, this paper hopes to accomplish three goals. My first goal is to reflect on the calling forth of bold, brave, and anointed preachers in James A. Forbes’ book The Holy Spirit and Preaching. Second, I will explore the preaching ministry of Howard Washington Thurman who, I think, exemplifies what it means to operate in the anointing of Christ. Finally, I will take these considerations about the Holy Spirit and Howard Thurman, and reflect on my own preaching ministry, which nears elevenShow MoreRelatedDiscusses Confucius contributions in the humanities by explaining his concept of moral rectitude.1191 Words   |  5 Pagesimportance in the forming of Chinese culture. Transfusion and Risk of Infection-Free-Samples-Myassignmenthelp

Question: Discuss the the most pressing Infectious disease risk amongst others, in my work Environment is exposure to blood and body fluid exposure. Answer: Response to the post of (name of the student) Your post is well written and precisely highlights the necessary information pertaining to the infection associated with blood and blood products. Explaining the arguments with the NICE guidelines and the use of personal protective equipment was excellent. It is the most basic strategy to reduce infections due to blood products. The CDC recommendations were justified. The references used to support these facts are also appropriate and relevant to the context. I would like to emphasise on the World Health Organizations Global Blood Safety Initiative. Safety should be enhanced during the blood transfusion service to reduce the risk of HIV. It is possible by adhering to the strategies mentioned by WHO for safe donor and safe blood for transfusion. It will ensure appropriate clinical use of the blood products and reduce unnecessary transfusion, major risk factor infectious diseases (WHO Library 2017). Talking about Canada, there are multiple steps taken to minimise the risk due to exposure to blood products. The Transfusion Transmitted Injuries Surveillance System in Canada was effective in reporting the cases of transfusion transmitted injuries. Every country should have such system (Mounchili et al. 2014). As per MacDonald et al. (2012), there is no facility existing that maintains the electronic record of transfusions nationally. It is recommended to the government that instead of focusing only on the standard precautions, emphasis should be laid on maintaing the records. Hospital blood banks should have such records, transfused patients to be made aware of the blood products and blood they receive. Every outpatient note must be documented with the label code numbers for the product used. References MacDonald, N.E., OBrien, S.F. and Delage, G., 2012. The Hiding Place Essay Example For Students

The Hiding Place Essay The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom is the story about the life of a woman in Holland during the German Nazi invasion and holocaust. Miss. Ten Boom tells about her childhood, helping people escape through the anti-Nazi underground, her arrest and imprisonment, and her release. As a child Miss. Ten Boom grew up in their familys watch shop with her mother, father, sisters, Nollie and Betsie, brother, Willem, and aunts, Tante Jan, Tante Anna, and Tante Bep. Her close-knit family was a very important part of her life. They worked together to keep up the house and the shop. People would always be at their house to visit, needing a place to stay, or just to hear Father read the Bible. Through her brother she met Karel, with whom she fell in love. He was a schooled man, very intelligent and cunning. Though he also had a love for Corrie, he would never court her, let alone marry her. His family arranged his marriage with a woman that had a large dowry. The rejection hurt Corrie at that young age but was soon forgotten and placed behind her. Her family was always known for helping people less fortunate. In a persons time of need, her mother always took food and a warm smile to help. Whenever a child was homeless, they could always go to the Beje for shelter. It was not a surprise, then, when Corrie and the rest of her family got involved with the anti-Nazi underground. She had been noticing that everything in her little town was changing. There were police stationed everywhere and a curfew was being set. The Germans were beginning to take control. Corrie had found out from her brother, Willem, that there were Jewish people needing a place to stay. The family decided to open the Beje to take people in, mostly until they found them a new home. Corrie found a man inside the German government to get food ration cards so they the people could eat. She also found most of the people places to stay. There were a few people that the borders would not take in, for many different reasons. Those people had the Beje as a home. There was always a threat of the German officers making a surprise inspection of their home, so the heads of the underground installed a secret room in their house. Corrie had the permanent and temporary residents perform drills so that they could get to the room quickly so that no one would know that they were ever there. One day, while Corrie was sick in bed, the German officers came to arrest her and her family members out of suspicion that they were working with the underground. Luckily everyone staying at the Beje was able to get into the secret room before the Gestapo was able to reach the top of the house. Though none of the Jews were found, Corrie and her family were still arrested and taken to a holding place. There started the long progression through the horrors of prison and the concentration camps. After spending a few days in the holding place they were taken to Scheveningen, a prison in another part of the country. All of the women were put in holding cells away from the people that they knew and loved. Being that Corrie was sick, she did not stay in the crowded cells very long. Quickly she was moved to an isolated cell where she could recover from her illness. One day she learned that Nollie an d Willem had been released but she got the bad news that her father had passed away after ten days in prison. Soon after she got this news, Nollie sent her a package with some supplies and a few little bibles. Corrie was excited to see these things. As Corrie began to get better she was scheduled to have her hearing to see if she could get out of prison. While in her meeting she met Lieutenant Rahms. He seemed like a very sympathetic man with a soft heart. During this hard time he made her feel comfortable. He wanted to help Corrie and he knew he couldnt get her out of the prison. After a few talks with her he learned how much her family meant to her. He had her family come to the prison to have the will of their father read. This helped Corrie and Betsie, who was also still in prison, not think about their dismal surroundings. A few days after that meeting the prisoners were awakened and told to pack their pillowcases. Some were excited hoping that the war was over and they were go ing home. Others were worried they were going to go to an even more wretched place than where they were. Those excited people were very mistaken. As they marched out of the prison they were led into small box cars. There they looked for people they knew or were related to. Corrie soon found Betsie. They knew that they would be fine now that they were together. They cramped themselves into the train cars with many other women. Everyone carefully found a place where the could sit. The trip was long and soon got foul smelling. Everyone had the same thought in mind where would they end up Everyone hoped, wished, and prayed not Germany, this time they were lucky, they were going Brabant. Overhead they heard explosions and gunshots. Once the train stopped and Betsie and Corrie shared the Bible with everyone. In this boxcar is where their ministry at the concentration camps began. Sometime early in the morning the train began moving again and they were on their was to their destination. So on everyone was extracted from the tightly wound mass of sickly bodies. Shouts of guards filled the air contradicting the warfare. Quickly they were marched over a mile to the camp. They went into the wooden barracks that had no beds so many of the prisoners, including Corrie and Betsie, fell asleep on the long wooden tables and backless benches in the barracks. Early one morning Corrie and Betsie were given pink slips. One woman made the comment that they were free. They went through a long procession of saying their names and getting back their belongings just to have their newly returned things taken back. They were taken to a new barracks where they got their work assignments. Betsie, being weak and very sick, was assigned to sewing prison uniforms, But Corrie apparently much stronger was assigned to the Phillips factory. Each in their separate place during the day they were able to share the gospel to many more people. They led morning and night prayer in there barracks and rea d and translated scripture when they were working. Many weeks later they were marched over a mile back to the train. Again they were piled into the small box cars. Again they hoped and prayed that they were not going to Germany. This time they were not so lucky. They crossed the border and headed for Ravevsbruck. Soon they arrived there and soon marched for a mile up the hill to the camp. They were sent to an open canvas tent roof which covered a large area of lice infested straw. There they were left to stay and sleep for three days and two nights. As they were laying down to sleep for the third night they were ordered to go to the processing center. There they went through the melancholy procession again, but at the end of this one there was a shower waiting for them. They stood in the dank and dingy shower room naked and cold. Betsie now so sick she could barely stand. By hiding their Bible in their removed clothing they were able to get it passed the guards, which allowed them t o continue their ministry even in these harsh surroundings. They were sent to barracks 8 where there was already an overcrowding. In places nine people shares a space large enough for four. There was constant groveling and complaining. All Betsie and Corrie could do for these people was pray. So thats what they did. Whenever there was a chance they spoke of how wonderful Jesus was and told Bible stories. Many people were ministered to in barracks 8 on those late nights. Corrie and Betsie got new work details. They were both assigned to the tough labor. But soon Betsie became sick again and was assigned to knitting socks. Soon after that Corrie was inspected for transport. Since she could not see the eye chart she was not able to leave at the time. So, she was then assigned to knitting socks. One day Betsie told Corrie of a vision that God had given her. She told her of the beautiful house with inlaid wooden floors and the beautiful gardens. Also of the statues set into the walls and the broad staircase. Corrie could not believe her. She did not know how to think about such a beautiful site after being in such a rotten place for so long. During one early morning roll call Betsies sickness worsened though she was not allowed to be taken to the hospital. On the way back to the barracks Betsie told Corrie that they were supposed to run a concentration camp in Germany, where they would be in charge to help people get over the abuse. They were to paint all of the new barracks bright green , like spring, and put window boxes in every window for flowers. The next morning as Corrie and another lady were helping Betsie out for roll call they were told, by the guard they called snake, to take her back. Soon after a stretcher came to take her to the hospital. Many times Corrie went to Betsies window to visit her. She could tell that Betsie was getting worse but didnt know weather or not she was going to make it. On a routine visit she noticed that her sister was surrounde d by people. She wondered, but then knew that Betsie had passed away. A kind nurse saw Corrie and took her down to see her sister. Corrie knew that her sister was with God so that made her content. A few days later Corrie was finally released. She was taken to the train station and left there with a few other released prisoners. She boarded the train that led back home but did not make it very far. Many of the train stations had been destroyed, and someone had stolen all of her money. Through the help of some friendly people she made her way back home to be with her family. Days later a woman came to Corrie offering her house to be used. It was a beautiful house with tall windows and inlaid floors, statues set into the wall and a broad staircase. Just as Betsie had visioned. Corrie spoke at many churches and told many people about what she had been through. A man had soon found a place to continue her missionary work. An old concentration camp in Germany. Corrie was overwhelmed. She told the man that there were to be window boxes at every window and that they would need a lot of green paint. Just as Betsie had visioned. .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3 , .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3 .postImageUrl , .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3 , .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3:hover , .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3:visited , .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3:active { border:0!important; } .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3:active , .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3 .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u0b5f74147f2c5b6a404a5bfd8595b1a3:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Veteran interview Essay We will write a custom essay on The Hiding Place specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now This book shows how this God fearing woman was put through the ultimate trial. Graduation standards essays

Graduation standards essays When I was in 9th grade I learned that I would be required to do grad-standard projects. I didnt mind this until I started to work on them. They were very had to read and understand. In 1998, Minnesota added grad-standards to the list of requirements for graduation (Academic Programs). It stated that each student, starting with the class of 2002 needed 24 different standards to graduate (2000 letter for the Principal). The grad-standards were not only hard to read both by the student and their teachers, but it made it difficult for the students to graduate. For example, one of my friends, Becca Ward, need to 2 of the standards exempted because of problems with the transferring of her standards and retaking those classes was not possible. When the state wrote these standards they had made them in a way that left both the teachers and students wondering what exactly the state wanted. I had to ask our schools special education teacher a number of times for help in understanding the grad-standards. One of the grad-standards used in math is stated like this: A. Demonstrate understanding of the characteristics of geometric figures in both two or three dimensions, including reflections, rotations, and translations; congruence and similarity; perimeter, area, and volume; distance; scaling; and symmetry; B. Use spatial visualization to model geometric structures and solve problems; C. Analyze characteristics of shape, size, and space in art, architecture, design or nature D. Translate between numerical relationships and geometric representation to analyze problem situations, scale models, or measurement E. Use properties of shape, location, or measurement to justify reasoning in a logical argument; and F. Demonstrate understanding of measurement accuracy, error, and tolerances. (Minnesota content standards, appendix 1) For this standard my math teacher had my class design and build a place that would fit a toy ...

Justification For The 9/11 Attacks Essay Example for Free (#911)

Justification For The 9/11 Attacks Essay ? The United States of America is a country, which has a free-market economy, freedom of expression for its citizens and the most influential power structure in the world. According to the CIA Fact Book (2009), â€Å"It is a country that has an average per capita GDP of $48,000 and population of around 307,212,123. America is a country, which is home to Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus and atheists a like†. All of the above are the reasons for the attack on United States of America on September 11th 2001. According to Crenshaw (2003), â€Å"When the new kid in class wants to become popular, he can either be friends with the already popular guy who is strong, smart and captain of the football team, or he can pick on him and try to replace him† (P. 20). That is the psyche of the terrorists who attacked America. From the point of Al-Qaeda, it makes perfect sense to attack America because Saudi Arabia, Egypt and any other region they wanted to operate in became an ally of America. The terrorists could not operate in a state which was sharing intelligence with America, or who could foil their plans. After running from one country to another, Osama Bin Laden finds refuge in Afghanistan and uses one of America’s strengths against itself. The strength known as the free media is used to declare an open war against United States of America, and then America’s freedom is used for their own heinous agenda to carry out the attacks. In the path of world domination, the terrorists chose to attack the most leading state and come under the limelight. According to Abdullah (2003), â€Å"Their attack did not end on 9/11, but their implantation of fear in the hearts of people across the world began as a consequence of the attacks aftermath†. If you choose to believe that America could have prevented these attacks by choosing not to form allies with the chosen Middle Eastern countries, then you must also realize that could have served a major blow to America’s economy and foreign affairs. Even if America has allies in the Muslim world for global interests, it does not mean that America should become a target of terrorism. Organizations like Al-Qaeda have the ability to convert an average citizen into a extremist through their brainwashing techniques, creating hatred and blame for the Americans. This war cannot be won through infantry and missiles; this war can be won through diplomacy and open talks about foreign policy. Even if the prior bombing attacks were prevented, another set of attacks would have taken place. Suicide bombers are not apparent, these are men and women who are out to kill as much and give their life while doing it. These are people with a fatal death wish that can take hundreds of lives with them. We need to understand the reason behind this behavior; these people are coming from countries like Pakistan, Egypt, Lebanon and countries, which are underdeveloped. Their governments cannot even provide the citizens with basic health insurance, education, clean water and even electricity at times. With conditions such as these, people are easier to make to believe in a purpose, which may be as irrational as suicide bombing, to attain the fruits of afterlife. Even if that is the case, that the American government could not prevent this attack because the enemy was so committed to make a statement by recruiting attackers through brainwashing people who at times were citizens of America. Even if this war is not biological, nuclear or any of such kind, yet its psychological. Still, the doubt remains that American government could still detect the sense of anti-American propaganda spreading in the world and if it did detect it, why did it not take measures to control or counter it? The American government could have carried out a campaign to insure that it would not seem unreasonable or offensive to the Muslim world. According to Adherents (2009), The Muslim community consists of over 1. 5 billion, which is over 21% of the population of the world. Thus, it is imperative that they should have been taken into consideration before making decisions such as the openly denying of the Palestine peace treaty and forming allies with Saudi Arab even though majority of the terrorists attackers in the past and of even 9/11 were Saudis. United Sates of America must realize that it couldn’t have prevented the 9/11 attacks, but it can try to take a different approach with its foreign and national policies because the present track has not proven to be affective. Therefore, America has to realize that it is in a position of power as the world leader and with that power has received some unwanted enemies who wish to take that power from the country. In order to win this war and not let this power go into the wrong hands, America must fight along side the rest of the world. Crenshaw, M. (2003). Why America is the Primary Target? Women's Studies. Gender Violence Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

Women's Studies. Gender Violence - Essay Example Women abuse is very popular and it has become like an order of the day since in some societies even a boy child does not give an elderly woman the deserved respect equal to the one he would give to a male counterpart. In various societies, a woman is considered as a weaker success who cannot handle some tasks. Could problem have been the society we live in? Or is it our forefathers’ who initiated this? But then what are we doing to curb this kind of mistreatment? Can we all rise up and say no to gender violence? This piece of writing analyses the issue of gender violence. Undeniably, issues of gender violence are on the rise and something ought to be done about it. Some of the court decisions regarding these violence are actually not satisfying and I believe very punitive action will solve this matter to a very large extend. Talking about human rights, this is among the issues that should be addressed. A female child or a woman must enjoy her freedom once and for all without e ven an inch of denial. It is upsetting to hear that even celebrities who should lead these campaigns such as Chris brown are involved in this kind of character. This is certainly perturbing and it leaves someone wondering who should lead the campaign geared towards eradicating this kind of vice in the society if even the most respected people in the society are guilty of it. Who is in a good position to solve this abuse? I am convinced that we can all come together and treat all females equally by knowing that they are all human beings who deserve freedom and have rights given to them by their creatures. The following story is one of the sad stories of gender violence which is very rampant in military. Amanda Tenorio was a 28-year old divorced mother of two whose husband turned violent to shortly after marriage and later became a victim advocate for Army Community Services at Joint Base Henderson. Being a gender violence survivor, she was actually the best person to address this iss ue particularly after her husband’s unvarying thrashings caused her grave damages such as dislocated knees and brain injuries that eventually put her into unconsciousness. Tenorio together with other domestic violence survivors have strongly come out to condemn this act more so out of the military families that also seem to experience most of the violence. Tenorio feels that it is important to address this issue and she strongly believes that helping people through education is really vital especially the many victims that we come across almost on daily basis. The program which is aimed at eradicating and creating awareness amongst military families is put on all military installations. The program which focuses on treatment and interventions as well as trying to assist both the victim and the abuser has more than 800 clinical social workers and quick quickly responds to emergencies that would require either healthcare and shelter interventions. It is also revealed that some of the causes of violence are stressful situations such as financial difficulties, military trimming, or even handling of outcome of combat and the increase of this violence immensely worries the military leaders and domestic violence workers thus making the program to be focused on everyone in the military. Although war is very violent, it is not supposed to contribute to domestic violence and therefore it should change the attitude of the soldiers towards violence by making soldiers even better people. Loss of job can however bring stress such as how to complete mortgage or pay bills and this only requires counseling since violence can never solve this situation. The program that was started by Tenorio is therefore intended

Service Sector Mraketing Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1750 words

Service Sector Mraketing - Essay Example A company who is in the business of services must consider the four elements of service characteristics when they are designing their marketing strategy of their service. Those elements are as follows: - 1. Service Intangibility: service intangibility means that services which cannot be seen, touched or smelled before they are purchased for example: train passengers when they buy a ticket before travelling or when people book a room in a hotel in advance etc. 2. Service Variability: service variability means the quality of the service. The quality of the service depends on the person who is going to give it, and when he/she is going to give it and where and how. 3. Service Inseparability: in service inseparability a service cannot be separated from the person who is providing it. In service inseparability both the customer who is getting the service and the person who is providing the service affect the result of the service. The best example for service inseparability is a doctor conducting an examination of a patient. 4. Service Perishability: in service perish-ability a service cannot be kept for later use or sale. ... These were the four basic elements or characteristics that have to be kept in mind when a company or an organization is conducting marketing of a service. Now let's look into a hotel business that provides different kinds of services to its customers. Hotel Services A hotel can be defined as a place where people come to stay for a short period of time and have to pay for their rooms, meals and other kinds of services which a hotel provides like a spa or maid service or for laundry or sport facilities etc. People who would like to stay in a hotel have to get their room reserved in advance. A hotel business solely exits to provide comfort and satisfaction for its customers. It not only fulfils the needs of a customer but actually anticipates and provides the need even before it is asked. The success of a hotel depends on its location that where it is located, inside the city or on the outskirts of the city, is it near a beach or on top of a mountain etc. and it should be easy to find for the tourists. Another thing that makes the hotel business a success would be the number of rooms it has. And let's not forget the main thing that makes it a real success is the way the hotel employees behave towards the hotel's customers. The staffs of the hotel have to be extremely friendly to all kinds of people who are staying or visiting the hotel because the needs of a customer always come first. And also because the staffs of the hotel is always in contact with the people who are staying there and those people usually judge or make an opinion about the place on the impressions of the staff or on the reception they get when they are staying there.

Mechanical design systems :: essays research papers

PROBLEM STATEMENT:   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  The design is to engineer a drive system to operate two extrusion rolls in opposite directions to compress the caramel. The drive system consists of a flexible drive system that operates a spur gear drive, which in turn operates the extrusion rolls at equal and opposite speeds. The power source to this design is a five horse power normal torque AC electric motor, operating at 1160 rpm. The system must be designed to run 24 hours per day, 3 days per week. There will be 4 shafts is the drive system. The shaft that is being driven by the flexible drive system directly is to be called shaft A, for design reference. The extrusion rolls shafts are to be called shaft B1 and B2, for design reference. The last shaft C is in the system only to reverse the direction of rotation of one of the extrusion roll shafts. The speed of shaft A is to be determined by the designer. The speed of the extrusion rolls is to be 200 rpm. When designing this drive system calculate all forces, life expectancies and stresses for both systems. The centerline distance from motor shaft to shaft A is to be 72 inches. 2 DESIGN DECISIONS:   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  While designing this multiple drive system there are many decisions to be made in order to successfully design the system according to the problem statement. The first is deciding whether to use a belt drive or a chain drive; one would realize that the system is operating at fairly low speed so a chain would be ideal. The next step to designing this system is to consider and analyze a speed for shaft A. Factors must be considered while deciding the speed of shaft A. The factors are that the speed of shaft A should be high enough so that the speed ratio of the gears is large enough, so that the gear sizes make a large enough distance between extrusion rolls. When designing this system one would choose around 480 rpm. Using the rpm out of the flexible drive one would select the appropriate gears for the application. Which the designer will find is a difficult task considering contact stress. When choosing the proper chain size and sprockets one will find that a numb er 40, 19 tooth â€Å"n1† and a 45 tooth â€Å"n2† are optimal stock components and get you fairly close to the desired 480 rpm.

Financial Literacy in the Philippines Essay

Money. That word enough is enough to turn the heads of almost any one in this world today. It’s not a hidden fact or a myth, or an exaggeration that money indeed makes the world go round today. In legal matters, money is the only reasonable way to amend some matters. In a cynical point of view, you could say that money is the law. In these times of corporate international booming, there’s no exaggeration that money holds your life today. Financial literacy is the knowledge that is the answer to these times of finance emphasized earth. But what is financial literacy? Financial literacy is, according to Wikipedia, â€Å"the ability of a person to understand how money works†. It is basically how one is skilled at handling financial matters, and how one is informed of insurances, investing and over-all money management. Knowing this term, then I am asked, Am I financially literate? As a young adult, it is necessary that one knows how to manage money. Especially that I go to school everyday, riding public transportation, eating out; One can say that isn’t everyone financially literate because they know how to budget their money after all? If it’s that easy, then I could say I am, but it isn’t. I’m not financially literate. As far as my money goes, I only know a little about saving. In fact, I don’t even own a real bank account in this age of 20. I know very little about insurances, investments, let alone the stock market. I only save money so I can spend it on going out with my friends, not for, as they say, the rainy days. Bank accounts are the only thing I know about and as far as I’m concerned it’s just about them keeping my money secured. I’m supposed to be a little embarrassed, but then I look around my community and see I’m not the only one. No, in this country, I’m one of the majority that is not. Why am I not? Why are most of us not financially literate in this world where money is a crucial necessity? I’ve read one article in the internet by Randell Tiongson entitled â€Å"Pinoys and Financial Literacy†. The article tackled how us Filipinos are not as financially literate as we think and the fact that most Filipinos give very little attention to actually be more knowledgeable in handling finances. In contrast though, it states that little by little, we are getting better; but still we have a long way to go to being called a financially stable country. I learned that most Filipinos have the same mind set as I have. We think having a bank account is already financial security. I think I am one of the population that is generally very clueless. Looking at other countries, they have these programs where they actually give seminars and lectures on being financially literate; to them the booming money world can only be survived through education. All I see in our country today are seminars about bank accounts and piggy banks. Where is the education that us Filipinos need in this world of financial dependence? We may turn our eyes from it, but money is a concrete fact of living. All my life I’ve been taught that saving money is the best thing you can do to your money; budget and management. But those are all kids stuff. I’m actually now worried that I am not well informed. One of the reasons I am not financially literate is definitely because of poor education on these matters. No one really taught me the words ‘investing’, or ‘insurance’ or ‘the stock market’ in school. Well maybe in definition, but I never came across how-to’s and guide to how to use these terms in the practical world. I think I would be scolded that I’m asking to be spoon-fed but, to be frank, this country never really made me grow up with concerns about financial literacy. And I am even one of those people with a good education†¦ how about our co-citizens with even less? Another reason is probably how our traditions and culture never really had a chance to understand these legal matters formally. Unlike other countries, we are generally the most traditional ones. We held our religions close, believing that everything happens in God’s time, if it’s safe to say, I think we are relying in Him too much. They didn’t talk about life insurances in the bible. We tend to believe that whatever happens, it happens on God’s will. Religion has been our security for ages. And I think that is why my own parents doesn’t have too much of a clue in investments issues. And as their child, how am I supposed to have a grasp in this area. No matter how I am accused of having enough resources because of the internet, it’s still not enough to carry a curiosity on finance matters. Because as tradition was, in this country, if you have a bank account, you’re saved. My family isn’t really one of those homes where everyone’s so money-savvy. I think it’s also because we’re a young family, with me as the eldest child. So I think I should be the one starting, learning about financial literacy. And this goes, with my last reason: Families with low financial status tend to not to be exposed in these opportunities. We’re not exactly in the higher middle class which many people may think because I’m studying in Mapua. We’re extremely in the middle middle class and as I have observed in television and the internet, those who already have the money are the ones only given the chance to be literate financially. It isn’t a theory that you need money for education, though there are other ways to stay informed but this is the truth. Most people in this country are lower middle class and could you even imagine the opportunities given to their level? It’s just concerning. Money-education for only those who already have money, or the promise of it. And I think that should be the one of the main concerns of this country. In conclusion, the main reason is our own country’s lack of financial literacy education. Essay on A Comparison of Othello and the Movie O - 1548 Words

A Comparison of Othello and the Movie O When Shakespeare composed the tragedy Othello televisions were not. Along with no televisions, life in the late 1500s had many different qualities than it does today. This time period had no war on drugs and no high school shootings. Peer pressure was not an issue. The audiences of Othello in the 1500s did not face the circumstances that we, American high school students, face today. With these significant differences in daily life, come the attempts of movie creators to help prevent our modern day tragedies.
